Description

A picture of a dilapidated house, overgrown by trees and brush. The house is composed of a wooden structure and a roof, framing an adobe structure. It is the last structure of the La Placita property, originally known as La Placita de Los Trujillos when it was founded in 1845. Founded by Lorenzo Trujillo and located on the east side of the Santa Ana River, it and its neighboring community, Agua Mansa, were the first non-native settlements in the area, containing the first school and church. The community was a recognized part of Riverside until 1926.
